| LOWER MISSISSIPPI | 0 | 979 | Bayou Sorrel Lock (Port Allen 36) will be closing during daylight hours for ongoing
construction until March.
Geological surveying will be conducted at Lower Miss 437.7 beginning on January
23rd and lasting until January 27th. The surveying will be taking place each day
between 07:00 and 17:00. Mariners are urged to transit this area with extra caution. | | MONONGAHELA RIVER | 9 | 127.4 | The Corps of Engineers has announced a repair project at Lock & Dam #4 (MM42) which is due to begin on July 15, 2012, and extend through August 4, 2012. The single chamber will be dewatered to renovate the downstream miter gate machinery and the middle wall filling valve. No traffic will be able to pass during this time.

due to repairs. Average delay today is approximately 10 hours.

until March 15th, 2012, this may cause significant delay. The current delay is 8
hours. The auxiliary chamber will be available for locking.
Lock 25 (Upper Miss 241.4) is tentatively scheduled to be closed from February 15th
until March 15th for repairs.
