The Coast Guard plans to implement a navigation closure of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal in order to facilitate the emergency dive operations to start 11 Mar, possibly again on 12th; intermittent openings during the day and more likely at night.Times and details of intermittent navigation openings during this period will be announced as soon as they are determined.
Starved Rock Lock and Dan will be closed to navigation on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 and on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 each day from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm to remove the upper gates for repairs

HOUSTON: The GIWW will be closed for 5 hour periods of time, followed by a traffic clearing period, from now until mid-March for pile driving operations at the Westbank Closure Complex, Mile 7 WHL. No tow should have to wait more than 5 hours before being cleared.
